Welcome to Kawartha Settlers' Village!
Kawartha Settlers' Village is a fascinating collection of historic homes and buildings from Bobcaygeon and the Kawartha region on an 9 acre site that once was a thriving Kawartha farm. At the village you can experience the history of our area and see what life was like for the pioneers of the Kawartha Region.
The Village is also home to the Kawartha Region Arts and Heritage Society who promotes and fosters community spirit in the Kawarthas and organizes cultural, educational, and recreational events. The Arts and Crafts programs are an integral part of the Village. We offer a variety of courses year round to get your creative juices flowing!
The Kawartha Settlers' Village collects, researches, preserves, exhibits and interprets a collection of historical artifacts and buildings dating from 1830 - 1920.
Kawartha Settlers' Village is well on its way to being completed and there is much to see and enjoy, including heritage homes, interesting displays of artifacts and a wonderful nature walk.
Kawartha Settlers' Village is open 5 days a week, Wednesday-Sunday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM during the summer. Tours run Thursday-Sunday from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM, simply go to the Henderson House and inquire about a tour. For tours during the off season, please contatct K.S.V. well in advance to book with a tour guide.
K.S.V. is always looking for artifacts that date from 1830's - 1920. If you or someone you know is wanting to donate to the Village please have them contact us.
